2010: and this time it's personal

Okay, not sure what the title's about, but here are some fun pictures:

Some cute pictures of Sam on New Year's

Pictures at the pool and our lovely Scrabble table

Well, we have almost been in Alaska for a year. That is crazy to think about! In some ways it feels like we just left Washington (and all our friends there), but it also feels like we've had Sam for 10 years now, so I guess it all evens out. We are doing our best to not get cabin fever and it helps that we have such a lovely cabin. The sun is starting to peek out again, so I think we'll survive the rest of the winter. Ben is working part-time for Kenai Peninsula College as a writing tutor along with his day job, and I'm just looking forward to all the traveling we hope to do this year. Ben also finished his thesis project and is formatting it for binding so it will be added to the Tiffin University library (hurray!). Sam is cutting his first teeth and is close to crawling, although he currently moves backward when he tries to move forward for a toy. He's our son, so of course he's a little mixed up! Other than that, we look forward to another glorious year of getting our act together :)

  1. haha What was he doing in the first set of pictures? What a big boy! Sitting up for that long and crawling around, even if he is a little mixed up. Aww I miss him (and you and Ben). Can you please please please stop his growing? Aunt Kate can't stand being away from him.
    I appreciate it.
    The Scrabble table looks awesome!!

  2. I was concentrating so hard on the pictures of Sammy in the first slideshow that I suddenly smelled his sweet baby smell on the air! I miss you guys so much.

  3. Yeah, when Ben gets hold of the camera he thinks of it as a photo shoot and takes around 50 pictures of Sam doing one thing :) Patty, recognize the fuzzy ducky pajamas? Sorry, can't stop the growing... but we can document it!
